We can’t say enough good things about Clarissa and Bets’ fun-filled wedding extravaganza at the gorgeous Hacienda Encantada resort in Cabo San Lucas. While the warm November sun would have tested the resilience of a less determined group of partygoers, Clarissa, Bets’ and their closest peeps managed to dance the night away, seemingly without breaking a sweat! We put their success down to all that love, and Clarissa’s genuine, mile-wide smile was the icing on the cake.
It was all barefoot relaxation, tropical robes, and ice-cold cerveza as Clarissa and her girls began their pre-ceremony preparations in the comfort of our bride’s uber-luxurious suite. Our jaws dropped when we first laid eyes on the showstopping “Porchia” gown from LOVE Bridal Boutique in Pheonix, Arizona. Complete with a plunging back, fashionable lace cutouts and a romantic circular train, the gown was the first in a series of home runs courtesy of the bride! Clarissa completed her look with natural makeup, a curly updo and a pair of sparkling, peep-toe pumps by Badgley Mischka. Forming the rest of Team Bride were Clarissa’s closest bunch, who were next level Grecian Goddess in flowing maxi dresses by David’s bridal, a sugary sweet shade of green known as “Meadow”. No bride is aisle ready without her bouquet, and as Angeles Rico from Flowers and Events Los Cabos delivered the girls’ tropical-inspired flowers in unapologetic shades of fuchsia, orange and cream, we were ready to say “I do” too!
Clarissa and Bets chose a toes-in-the-sand ceremony on shores of the Sea of Cortez, and the relaxed, acoustic vibe of local guitarist Adan Mijares provided the Summer soundtrack. Cabo’s own Minister Marco conducted the heartfelt ceremony, which took place beneath soft fabric draping, an abundance of tropical flowers and the bright blue Los Cabos’ sky. Bets, looking dapper in Tommy Hilfiger, was overcome with emotion as his bride appeared on the arm of her father, smiling ear to ear as she made the long walk down the sand. The “down to party” vibes were electric as the couple shared their first kiss as Mr and Mrs, and we knew we were in for a memorable evening.
Clarissa and Bets’ reception was undeniably energetic. While they made sure to cut the cake, dance the dances and pay homage to tradition, fun certainly trumped formality, and DJ extraordinaire Adan Mijares made sure the dance floor stayed packed well after sunset. As image-makers, we know that a photo is only as good as its subject, and we were lucky enough to pry Clarissa and Bets away from the fun for a few short moments, capturing those sunset frames that make this one of our favorite wedding albums to date.
A huge thank you to the team at Hacienda Encantada, whose careful coordination, trendy rentals and fabulous fireworks made Clarissa and Bets one very happy couple! To our bride and groom, we hope you enjoy your wedding album just as much as we did creating it!
Until next time,
Daniel
